MRT and LRT Adjust Operating Hours during PPKM Level 2

MRT Jakarta resumes normal operation starting today as the Jakarta administration has dropped the PPKM Level 3 to 2 in the capital city.

It is also a follow-up to the Transportation Agency (Dishub)'s Decree number 145/2022 on the Technical Guidelines for Setting Transport Capacity and Operational Time of Transportation Facilities During PPKM Level 2.

PT MRT Jakarta Corporate Secretary Division Head Rendi Alhial said the policy has been applied since Friday (3/11). Indonesia’s first mass rapid transit service will operate between 5 AM to 9.30 PM on weekdays and between 6 AM to 9.30 PM on the weekend.

The operator would still enforce the rules of social distancing in the train by keeping a distance sign, such as body temperature checks, the requirement to wear a face mask, and educating passengers on maintaining physical distance, regularly washing hands or engaging in conversation on the train and station platforms.

The LRT Jakarta has announced to operate at 100 percent normal capacity with the operational time between 5.30 AM to 9.30 PM, with headway 10 minutes every day.
